Song of Xmas Past
My contribution to the world of syrupy Xmas songs (No really, it's got the word 'Aglow' in it) Produced in 2014
Beatles - "You Can't Do That"
I'd seen a number of videos on You Tube where people had taken a song that was originally in a major key and transposed it to a minor key, giving the song a different feel. Here's my attempt...
From time to time I find a chord sequence I like but just can't seem to find a suitable melody to finish the song. If there are any budding lyricists out there and you fancy having a go at writing a melody/lyric for the following backing tracks, please contact me.
Working Title: The Love That You Deserve
Acoustic guitar-based idea. Format is Intro, Verse 1, Lift,Chorus, Bridge; repeat for Verse 2; Middle 8; Key change for Verse 3 (format as previous); Outro.
No working title. Just sounds like a backing track for one of those dramatic Annie Lennox ballads. Format is Verse; Verse; Middle 8; Verse; Verse; Long Outro.
Gone a Bit Goth
I'd definitely been listening to too much Evanescence when I came up with this one. Apologies to any guitar players out there as all guitars here are VST. Will use real ones for the final recording. Format is Intro; Verse (drums only); Lift; Chorus; Repeat; Middle 8; Dropout: Choruses to fade.
Although originally written as an instrumental I think this track could be improved with a touch of the "Sophie Ellis-Bextor's".
